Get to know Youngevity’s Memory Keeping Ambassador – Lisa Bearnson

May 14, 2015

At Convention in March we announced the Youngevity Memory Keeping Ambassador – Lisa Bearnson. If you were at convention, you saw her on stage and heard her background (from Creating Keepsakes magazine founder to selling scrapbook products on QVC and HSN and everything in between!), which is impressive, to say the least. We wanted to get to know her on a more personal level, so we asked her a few questions that we’re sharing today. Let’s get to know Lisa Bearnson!

1. Where do you get your inspiration?

My biggest inspiration comes when I’m in nature! My favorite activities are anything outdoor. I love hiking, boating, camping, and spending time at local parks. I get inspired by the textures, colors, views, and sounds the great outdoors bring. I also love how clearly I think and how creative I feel when I’m breathing in pure fresh air.

2. What excites you most about memory keeping?

My dad recently passed away from dementia and for the past three years he could barely remember the daily happenings of life. However, when he’d look through a scrapbook of his parents and siblings, a light turned on and he’d get a big smile on his face while reminiscing about days of his childhood and life on the State Street fruit farm with his family. This quote describes perfectly why I love memory keeping. “Share the best moments of your life with your children as often as you can. Someday when your memory fails they will be happy to share them with you!” I choose to share these memories through scrapbooking!

3. What tool or product can you not live without when creating?

There are three I can’t do without:

  • Silhouette Cameo
  • Genesis Trimmer
  • Xyron 900 Adhesive Machine

4. How would you describe your scrapbooking/crafting style?

I love great design and current trends but also crave solutions that allow me to feel creative in a relatively short amount of time. While I love my scrapbooking time, I prefer spending more time making the memory than preserving it.

We hope you’ve enjoyed this quick get-to-know-Lisa session. Stay tuned for tips, project ideas, and more over the coming weeks and months from Lisa as she shares her love of scrapbooking and paper crafting with us.
