July 2013 New Art and New Templates

July 24, 2013
Summer is the perfect time to spotlight friends and family. Preserve a once-in-a-lifetime moment or a once-upon-a-time vacation, and precious family memories will last a lifetime! Celebrate your child’s first concert or honor a grandparent’s World War II military service. July’s Studio art release brings wonderful new art to help you lift loved ones with a page or project this summer.

In bright, theme-park colors, “Magical Vacation Pieces” and “Magical Vacation Papers” are the perfect pair to tell the story of your family’s Disney vacation or to celebrate a Mickey Mouse style birthday. Designed by Cynthia Coulon, the duo is colorful, contemporary and lots of fun. If you’ve taken time as a family to vacation in one of the Magic Kingdoms, use this collection to make those special memories live longer.

Shanna Vineyard used the two “Magical Vacation” collections to make her bright and contemporary “Magical Memories,” 12 x 12 digital scrapbooking page template 110491. Michelle Bell wanted the magical memories of her family’s Disneyland visit to live on, long after their trip was over, so she designed this 8 x 8 storybook, template 110572.

New from Roxanne Buchholz, “All School Band” and “All School Theater” are two collections you’ll turn to again and again to celebrate each performer and special event in your family. Full of instruments, lighting and tickets; each of these 100-plus-item collections is designed in the same style and color palette and can be used interchangeably.
Showcasing the versatility of “All School Band” and “All School Theater” collections are these three templates by Roxanne Buchholz. “Birthday Jam Invitation” is a 4 x 8 photo card, template 110402; while 5 x 7 “Rock On Birthday Invitation” is template 110401 and “School Play Invitation” is a 7 x 5 invitation, template 110400.

Both the new “Scrap It” and the “Fabulous Faces: Quick Pages” are designed in the aqua and coral tones that are everywhere this summer. “Fabulous Faces: Quick Pages” offers eleven stunning, pre-designed pages that can be used in storybooks as fast and easy scrap pages or as part of a larger project. “Scrap It” is full of versatile and simple papers that coordinate well with “Fabulous Faces: Quick Pages, along with timeless embellishments to make scrapping any project a joy.

“Our Family” is a 12 x 12 scrap page, template 110514, by Sandra Dovre that uses papers from the new “Scrap It” collection. Michelle Bell used the “Scrap It” collection to create this timeless and scrapbook layout, “My Favorite Memories,”  template 110506.
Illustrating the many uses of the “Fabulous Faces: Quick Pages” collection are the 12 x 12 scrap page, “Sweet Savannah” by Shanna Vineyard, template 110487, and this extra easy square flip book by Kari Pieratt, template 110389, “Fabulous Faces Flip Book.”

“Sweet Tooth” is a bright, summery, sweet treat art collection made especially for you by our in-house designer, Anna Gehmlich Bates. Add the “Sweet Tooth Add-On” collection to the mix and you have stackable ice-cream scoops, oodles more sweet treats, and another complete collection of coordinating papers. Full of cleanly-styled papers and yummy embellishments, “Sweet Tooth” and “Sweet Tooth Add-On” offer the perfect pieces to celebrate your summer.

“Sweet Tooth” is perfect for ice cream colored projects like “I Love You More Than Ice Cream” by Kari Pieratt, a square flip book, template 110387; “Frozen Treats Birthday Invite” also by Kari Pieratt, a 5 x 7 invitation, template 110480, or another 5 x 7 invitation, template 110509, from Michelle Bell called “Popsicle Party.” You, too, can have summer’s coolest colors and icons with this low-on-calories, high-on-design-flexibility collection.

A deceptively small collection, our next offering, “Finding Joy” is big on color and design and full of the perfect project pieces to make creating fast and fun. And, continuing her World War I and II historic-themed collections, Roxanne Buchholz brings us “Vintage Americana 2.” This one is full of service-related and wartime elements such as ration books, medals, dog tags, and military patches and insignias. Perfect for scrapbooking the wartime sacrifices of older family members, also check out vintage touches like the bottle caps from sodas that have long been out of production.

Brand new templates made with the “Finding Joy” collection include “Congrats Audrey” by Shanna Vineyard, template 110545, and template 110513, “My Sunshine,” by Sandra Dovre. Both are 12 x 12 scrap pages filled with the summer sunshine colors of this versatile collection.
Check out how Roxanne used the “Vintage Americana 2” collection in her 12 x 12 scrap page, template 110403, called “My Vintage Hero.” In a clustered style, full of ration books and dog tags, it’s the perfect setting for any World War II military photo and a wonderful way to honor those family members who sacrificed so much by serving.
