My “Love” Kitchen – YGY Style

February 7, 2017

Last February I had a terrible case of the flu for three weeks solid. During that time I watched way too much HGTV and soon took a sledge hammer to my dark kitchen (kidding) and completely remodeled. I went light, bright, and neutral. However, I am a LOVER of color and changing up decor for the changing seasons so I made sure the focal point of my kitchen had plenty of spaces to decorate.

Here is my “love” kitchen–yep, Valentine’s Day on steroids! And, I’m so excited to share with you all the Youngevity Memory Keeping brands that were used in most of the projects!

Here is a quick overview of the brands and products:

And here is a side view of the space as well:

Just a few specific things to note:

I’m pretty much in love with Heritage Makers canvases. You can choose pre-made templates or create your own. They are well made and so stunning.

The XOXO on the mantle was created by my pal and YGY distributor, Michael Lazorchak, using Heidi Swapp Marquee Letters (purchased at your local craft store) and embellished with the Anthology DIY XOXO Paper Collection. He also made the wreath by gluing (or you can staple) strips of the same collection around a styrofoam wreath and then embellishing with extra pieces in the kit. The “Be Mine” was created with a Cameo Silhouette. Just a little side note. The Anthology DIY 1/4″ super sticky tape is a very strong adhesive and works amazingly well for the wreath because of its permanent hold. And, it’s on sale for $2.45!

The “LOVE” Coaster Set banner was made in Heritage Makers. I’m partial to this since I love a good game of Scrabble. The coasters are part of three templates that create the words “Family, Home, Love.” The heart banner was simply created with twine, painted material, and glitter glue.

The marquee arrow from the Anthology DIY Gallery Wall kit is covered in OMFL Love Collection by Katie Pertiet. Stay tuned for a video coming soon showing how you can quickly change the paper on the front of the arrow.

Anthology DIY Valentine Canvas Exchange blocks are also scattered on many of the shelves:

I love the Magnetic Chalkboard in the Anthology DIY Gallery Wall kit. The surface is dreamy–so easy to write on and it’s magnetic! I am amazed how easy OMFL’s Love Collection by Katie Petite made it to decorate. I created heart magnets out of one of the border strips and a banner out of another one. Easy peasy and adorable! Also my family’s Valentine’s card was easily customized using Heritage Makers. (Oh–and just a little teaser. Those cute border clips are in next month’s Anthology DIY kit.)

I mentioned that the XOXO marquee letters are bordered and embellished with the Anthology DIY XOXO Paper Collection. Here is a closeup of the heart to explain more. (The front surface is covered with glitter glue.)

I also often scatter cards on my shelves–they are the perfect size for a little accent. The Anthology DIY Valentine’s Make and Shake cards are perfect for this. And, the Anthology DIY XOXO Paper Collection and Valentine Make & Shake Card Kit are bundled together at one terrific price as the Be Mine Gift Set through February 14.

Both of the following pieces come in the Anthology DIY Gallery Wall kit and can easily be changed with the Gallery Wall Art Pack that also comes in the kit.

The collection looks great as scattered pieces throughout your house or collaged on the wall or a flat surface:

Finally, I always find some type of fun drink to display on my counter top. Place on top of a tray with a couple of glasses and you’ve got another fun accent piece.

Have fun exploring with different looks! Youngevity certainly makes it easy with so many styles and products to choose from.

I’m already dreaming up my spring look. I will be sharing it soon, promise!
