Tips for Easy Scrapbooking

November 9, 2015

Christmas is coming! Now you can get ready for your holiday pictures with this fun layout featuring the beautiful new collection “Joyous Noel” by Katie Pertiet. You may want to order more than one bundle of paper, journaling cards and border strips when you see it—just look at those darling polka dots and layered graphics! This layout also features the Black Noir designer refill pages, the scallop shell border cartridge, and the Christmas Joy accent stickers.

Here are a few of my favorite tips for scrapbooking.

Ready-set-CROP! One of the keys to a great layout is to crop your pictures. Get in close…and trim out the unnecessary. This helps you focus on what is important in the picture, and if you trim some pictures into squares (I love using 3″ x 3″ squares) they are easy to add to a layout design. Did you see the plaid, stripe, and chevron paper in the background? Like I said, more than one bundle…

Tools, tools, you gotta have your tools! I am always reaching for my multipurpose tool, not only for applying letter stickers, but also to help with adding those special sticker touches to the page. Also try using the Our Memories for Life border maker just to edge a strip of paper, it adds a nice texture and design element.

It’s always fun to decorate and embellish, but remember photos are just photos without the stories we give to them. So grab your black pigma pen or white gelly roll pen and tell your story! My kids love how I decorate my pages, but they love even more the words that help them remember these special moments!

I hope these tips help you capture your memories. Buy Joyous Noel by Katie Pertiet today!
