Brag Bags are not only a cute way to share your favorite photos, they are sturdy and hold up well. I spoke with a couple ladies this weekend that said they’d had their Brag Bags for over three years and they were in amazing condition – especially since they used them every day. The bottom wasn’t torn up. The handle wasn’t ragged. Other than a little dirt here and there, they looked brand new! If you don’t have a Brag Bag, this is definitely the time to get one, so let me show you how fun these bags can look.
Brag Bags come in three sizes – Bitty Brag Bag, Brag Bag, and Big Brag Bag. You can design the front and back of each bag or just the front (then the back is black). The inside liner is black so it won’t show dirt, which I love! Each bag has two straps (or choose the upgrade option of one handle), zips closed, and has metal feet on the bottom.
Brag Bags are the perfect gift! Use the recipient’s favorite colors along with photos to create a one-of-a-kind bag that they’ll love carrying because it shows off their loved ones without having to pull out a phone or flip through photos. Gift times to consider: Mother’s Day, weddings, new baby, birthdays, or just because.
Speaking of new babies, you can easily create a bag with coordinating items for mom like a post-bound album, storybook, or canvas. This easily adapts to weddings too – create items that match the bride’s invitations.
Since there are so many reasons to create a Brag Bag, we’ve designed plenty of templates to get you started. Whether you want something that is sports related, celebrates family, include lots of photos or no photos, have more of a masculine feel, or are as girly as can be! You’ll find the Brag Bag templates in the Photo Gifts section.
The last thing I want to mention are two information pieces that show up as Design Guides when you’re working in Studio, but are often overlooked. First, if you are working with a design that includes the front and back, know that the designs may not align perfectly because of printing and stitching. You may be happier having designs that are not meant to connect so that any variance in the printing or sewing will not be obvious.
Second, make sure your background goes past the bleed area or grey area. You don’t want any white showing that isn’t part of your design. I like to take my background about 1/4 to 1/2 inch past the grey area to make sure it won’t be a problem.
That covers Brag Bags and all the reasons you really, really, really need one. Oh wait, there’s one more reason. In April, all Brag Bags are 10% off!! Saving money is always a good thing in my book. If you want to save 10%, make sure you order your Brag Bag before midnight MT on April 30th. Note: If you were hoping to have a Brag Bag as a Mother’s Day gift, it has to be ordered by April 18th, so you’ll either need to give mom a photo showing what the bag looks like or make her one for another occasion.
Have fun creating!
