If you’ve ever thought about starting a tradition of creating an annual family yearbook, maybe this is the year to do so. To help you get started, Studio Creative Team senior member Michelle Bell has challenged our creative team to create monthly 12×12 scrapbook page spreads with her grayscale design map, “Good Times Design Map”.

Starting with template 111296, each designer selected a calendar month and showed off her own unique style, while maintaining the same text, photo, and embellishment placements.

“Good Times 1 by Leanne,” template 115963; “Good Times by Kari,” template 115979; “Good Times 1 Michelle,” template 115998; “Good Times by Kelsi,” template 115951; “Good Times 2 by Michelle,” template 116080; “Good Times Roxanne,” template 116185

“Good Times by Cassie,” template 115985; “Good Times 1 by Brooke,” template 115948; “Good Times 2 by Leanne,” template 115987; “Good Times 2 by Brooke,” template 115943; “Good Times by Sara,” template 115884; “Good Times 3 by Michelle,” template 116190

As you can see, each designer chose to highlight a specific month or holiday. Even though they started with the exact same design map, they were able to achieve extremely different looks to suit their desired style and to capture their special moment in time.

These adorable scrapbook pages would be perfect to work on throughout the year. When finished, they could be assembled and placed in the coordinating post-bound album “Good Times” designed by Roxanne Buchholz, template 116261.

Or, if you prefer all of your pages to be together in a hard bound book, look no further than our “Good Times” 12 x 12 storybook, template 116198, which features all of the fun scrap pages that you see above, already assembled for you.

And, we have one more holiday bonus for you. We know some of you enjoy working directly from our fully designed templates but some of you love creating something entirely your own with our grayscale design maps. So, we have also created this 12 x 12 storybook as a grayscale template just for you. Be sure to check out “Yearbook Design Map 1,” 12 x 12 storybook by Roxanne Buchholz, template 115986, to help you get started on your annual family yearbook.

Remember, we have many styles of grayscale design maps and fully designed storybooks available for you in our Template Gallery to help you get started on your annual family yearbook. If you find a yearbook that you love but it isn’t in grayscale, remember to think of any template as merely a map. Simply retain the position and arrangement of the photos, text, and elements, but change colors, patterns, fonts, effects, and embellishments to suit your style.
