It’s hard to believe, but back-to-school planning will be getting underway shortly, and parents and children are giving thought to the end of summer and the start of a new, yet familiar, routine. New clothes, new school supplies, new computers, and a host of other “new” things that mark the beginning of another school year.

To start our back to school season off right, we gave each of the Studio Creative Team members the same 12 x 12 greyscale scrap page “Graphic Grid Design Map,” template 124062 and asked them to infuse their own personality into documenting the beginning of a new school year while maintaining the same text, photo, and embellishment placements. Some designers chose primary colors with a more traditional school look for the little ones while others designed out-of-the-box with non-traditional school themes for the older student. Let’s take a look.

“Graphic Grid Design Map,” template 124062; “Graphic Grid 2 by Cassie,” template 124425; and “Graphic Grid by Leanne,” template 124388

“Graphic Grid by Sara,” template 124096; “Graphic Grid 1 by Roxanne,” template 124165; and “Graphic Grid 1 by Cassie,” template 124424

“Graphic Grid 2 by Roxanne,” template 124166; “Graphic Grid by Kari,” template 124306; and “Graphic Grid by Brooke,” template 124107

As you can see, greyscale design maps leave plenty of room for flexibility and allow you to customize the design to fit your style, your way. Do you like the graphic layout of the greyscale design map but have another theme in mind? Perfect! Greyscale design maps work with any theme and any style. Go ahead and give it a try!
